About Me
Hi my name is Shelby and I am 30 years old and live in Byfleet with my partner and daughter. I have always wanted to work with children so after school I went to college and gained my level 3 diploma in childcare and education. After passing I got a job in a day nursery. I was the room manager of the toddler room working with children aged 14 months to 30 months and also third in charge of the nursery. I do however have experience of working with children aged 3 months to 11 years. After seven years of working in the nursery I decided to do some travelling around the world. After coming home I had a change in Job and am now currently working as a sole charge nanny.
I am a very active and outgoing person and am very confident in my ablitiles.
I am very passionate about my job and love working with children. I feel that I have gained great childcare experience and knowledge over the years and now want to find a family I can fit into and children to spend quality time with. I enjoy working alongside parents to help children grow, nurture them and teach them new things helping reach their full potential.
I hold a full driving licence and have my own reliable car.
My Experience
I have gained a range of experiences whilst doing my qualification at college. I did my work experience in 2 different nurserys working in all the rooms, a primary school where I worked with reception through to year 2 and a special educational needs school. I also worked in summer play scheme during the school holidays which was with children aged 5-11.
I was working at the last nursery for 7 years, this is a 89 place nursery with children ages 3 months to five years.
I am currently working as a sole charge nanny.
I have full EYFS ( early years foundation stage ) experience as I am planning, carrying out activities and observations according to this daily within my role.
I do regular evening and day time babysitting where I have sole charge.
