About Me
A mum-of-one 5 year old daughter, we have a fun, energetic, and nurturing home with something always going on. I have recently left corporate life to spend more time doing the things I love - helping children grow. I also run a children's cookery school we love to have fun with new ingredients. I like to create a varied range of activities with a balance of both active, creative, noisy, and quiet activities throughout the day.
My Experience
My earliest experience working with children was as a play assistant in the french alps with a Ski holiday tour operator, a role that needed patience, kindness, bags of energy and a sense of humour.
Having worked full time for an employer myself I understand the pressures working parents face, and the importance of knowing your child/ren are happy, and engaged when you need to do the chores, have a date night, or just put your feet up - that's why I offer babysitting / childsitting services.
With the ongoing changing environment currently we are preparing a "lesson" timetable to support reading, writing, and maths.
In my spare time I am a cookery school teacher engaging children with learning to cook healthy balanced meals that they can share at home, I find it very rewarding getting children involved in using and trying ingredients they haven't seen before - don't worry we make cookie and cupcakes to share!
Ofsted registration requested and pending.
My Qualifications
University of Life, Paediatric first aid, Food hygiene level 2, Level 3 preparing to work in homebased childcare, Level 2 Support work in schools, Level 1 & 3 Safeguarding children.
