Hi, I'm Bethan, I am 20 years old and a second year student at the University of York studying BSc Psychology in Education. I grew up in Kent and am the eldest of three children. I love spending time with children and often volunteer and work with all age groups and backgrounds. I hugely enjoy yoga. a keen swimmer and I am calm, tolerant individual who loves to muck in and get involved in life.
My Experience
From the age of 14 I have been babysitting for neighbours, friends and family; I have worked in nurseries across Kent for JBD recruitment covering shifts for full time staff who are ill or away; I have volunteered with a children services unit, helping in after school clubs for those referred by social services and weekend clubs for teenagers with severe mental and physical disabilities; I have volunteered in a school rated by OFSTED as inadequate (the lowest possible rating); I have volunteered at two schools in York: Fishergate primary's nursery and after-school club - Funfishers, and at Carr Infant School in Acomb as a reading buddy to help teach two children to read. I have worked part time alongside my studies since the age of 16, including work in Kidswear in H&M in Kent and in York. I have also worked in a couple of bars and pubs across York. I am an associate member of the management committee at Danesgate Community in Fulford as of January 2015 also.
My Qualifications
I have 11 GCSEs and 3 A-levels all grade B and above. I have a level 2 qualification in health and nutrition and am working toward my degree. I earned my Silver award in the Duke of Edinburgh scheme. I am certified at Level 2 lifesaving and have Gold award for swimming. I reached Grade 4 in Piano, Clarinet and Saxophone.
My Availability
My only full-time commitment is to lectures of which I have 9 hours a week, so I am available most weekday evenings and weekends and often have several hours in the day free as well. Terms are only 10 weeks long but I am wiling and able to stay in York over Christmas, Easter and Summer breaks if necessary.

I am open to negotiation on fees but based on previous experience would expect about £7.50 per hour.
