About Me

Hello :) I am an Ofsted registered childminder offering a home from home childcare setting . I live in Davyhulme with my husband and 16 year old daughter . We live in a semi detached house with a small garden with a grassy area for picnics and reading stories on and a paved area for messy play , riding on bikes and in cars .We also make full use of our fantastic local parks and this enables us to be outdoors every day . I have all the relevant qualifications that Ofsted require from of me and I have worked in childcare in various settings , private day nurseries and as a private nanny since I was 17 years old . I regularly update my knowledge and education within childcare with regular training courses as this keeps me informed on new legistration ( childcare is for ever changing ! ) , it also keeps me motivated and challenged . I follow the E.Y.F.S with a strong emphasis of making good relationships and learning through play , helping and preparing babies and young children for their transition into school nursery and then onto school . I am a firm believer in healthy eating and make many meals from scratch using good quality ingredients ( I often do large batches of bolognaise and casseroles and freeze them .. I hold a level 2 in food safety ) we do also eat sandwiches and beans on toast as sometimes we need a quick lunch if we have been out and about and variety is the spice of life ! The children always have at least 5 of their 5 day with me :). I also offer drop off and collections at Woodhouse primary school and lunchtime collections from local playgroups / nursery schools. Please note we also have a cheeky playful small dog , a puggle named Fifi she generally isnt around the children but has short supervised time with them .
