About Me
I am a KS1 and Early Years lead and year 1 Primary teacher in a state school in Harrow currently on maternity leave after having a little boy in February.
I am well organised, manage my time efficiently and enjoy living a healthy lifestyle both through exercise and cooking.
I have a positive attitude and consider myself to be friendly, caring and empathetic. I loved working with children and while completing my degree I gained a range of experiences working with children, ages 3-11 years. This experience has made me extremely passionate about guiding children through their development, ultimately providing them with valuable knowledge and experiences, leading me in the career I am in.
I am very creative person which I feel enables me to ensure that my activities are fun and educational but most importantly, enjoyable for the children I interact with.
I believe communication between myself and you as the parent is essential in creating a positive and effective relationship. I focus souly on what benefits the children and passionately believe there are no limits to what children can achieve through a little imagination and patience.
My Experience
Prior to my university degree I had many years of regular babysitting experiences with several families. This kick started my love of children and lead me to the degree and teaching career path. As a part of my university course I have had 20 weeks of school based placement experience, where I had adopted the role of teaching and supporting young children.
My first placement, a total of 7 weeks was in a year 2 class where I learnt a great deal on behaviour management and my own personal organisation skills. I completed this placement with an overall 'good' With qualities of 'outstanding' throughout and 'outstanding' In behaviour management. During my second placement I have been gaining experience in a private nursery where I was awarded a 'outstanding'. Outside of the classroom I have experience in a previous job as a party hostess at a Painting Pottery cafe. I have been a nanny for one lovely family from June 2015 to September 2016.
As I have previously mentioned I am now a full time Primary school teacher in Harrow in my 7th year of teaching.
