About Me
My name is Julie and I am 44 years old. I have been working with children for 28 years in a variety of settings.
I have 2 children, a son 18years and a daughter 10 years
I have 1 dog (Labrador) and live in a smoke free home.
I offer a drop off and collection service from Dovedale Primary school in Long Eaton. School Holiday cover
I am also approved by OFSTED to offer FUNDED 2,3,4 places with GOOD grade
I take the children I care for to parks, local farms and take weekly visits to the library. I also take them to playgroups and soft playcentres. This is all included in my hourly rate. we go out daily in the mornings return for lunch then in afternoon if you're child does not have a sleep then they will participate in craft activity I aim to send your child home with a picture daily we do activities from baking cakes,sticking,painting picture messy play from mud kitchen, play dough, slime, clay modelling, cornflour I have a large enclosed garden with a large variety of toys and secure gates and inside toys I have home corner dressing up construction cars and garage zoo farm train stand large play kitchen and so much more
I offer a large variety of outings and activities in a safe and child orientated environment, and provide healthy meals and snacks every day.
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder for 15 years, i am rated a GOOD with ofsted and I am CRB checked.
I have worked with children for 28 years in a variety of schools and nurseries, and have been in management roles.
I initially started working with children as a YTS Trainee and obtained my NVQ level 2 working with children aged 0-5 years at the age of 16 yrs
I then continued to work in preschool settings with children aged 3-5 years and then moved onto the Queens Medical Centre baby unit, and then left to take up a management role in a childrens play centre.
I then decided to become a registered childminder 18 years ago when I started my own family. During this time I have cared for a variety of children ranging from age 6 months to 12 years and during this time obtained my NVQ level 3 (Nursery Nurse).
My Qualifications
I am NVQ level 2, 3 qualified.
I am first aid qualified, food hygiene, child protection and CRB checked, and have attained all necessary qualifications as required by OFSTED and regularlyupdate as requiredbyOFSTED. I have a full driving licence
My Availability
I have places available immediately.
I have 1 full time spaces for under 5's and 4 space for children before and after school pick up drop off and school holidays 5-8 years. at £4.00 per hour minimum charge (1hour for before and after school)
I work 7.30-5.30 Monday to Friday all year round with one week closed in August and I close at Christmas holidays

Julie has been my childcare provider for 2 years during this time she has been an asset to me as a full-time working mum myself. Julie has helped my son thrive and develop in all his developmental stages. Julie has also become a childminder for my daughter who suffers with anxiety. She has been a fantastic educational setting for both my children. She cares and support each and every child on their individual needs. I have had Childminder’s in the past but never felt the need to recommend until today. Thank you Julie keep on doing the amazing work you do.
