Hi, my name is Gabi, I am 28 years old and originally I am from the Czech Republic and I have been looking after children professionally for the past 10 years.
What I like about being a nanny the most is how rewarding it becomes once I create a bond with the children and see them enjoying spending time with me. I love being their big sister and a role model, doing all the silly things together and simply having a good time.
I love the outdoors and travelling and being surrounded by nature. This is one of the many things I always teach children - how important the nature is with all of its beautiful animals, birds, fish and greens!
In my free time I like going to a park, writing poetry, reading, watching movies and staying active. When I visit the Czech Republic during winter I love to go skiing. I am a big foodie and I love exploring new cuisines and cooking new recipes. Another important thing to me is equality so I care a lot about humans and animals well being.
Being a nanny is a unique job and I try to do my best bringing something new, positive and exciting to every child's life.
My Experience
I have been living in the United Kingdom for the last 8 years, first working as an Au Pair and looking after two boys for two different families and from 2017 I have been working as a nanny.
My first nanny role lasted for awesome 2.5yrs when I worked two days a week for a busy corporate family with three boys(aged 5, 8 and 11 at the time I started) My responsibilities varied from collecting the boys at school, helping them with homeworks, assisting with maths and writing and reading, taking them to their after school clubs, playing with them, preparing dinner, evening babysitting and full day care during half terms. Sadly the family moved away in 2020 and therefore I couldn't look after the boys anymore. Nonethless I still visit them as a friend on regular basis.
For 2 years between 2019 and 2021 I have worked full time for a single parent family with two girls aged 7 and 9. My role involved everything from childcare to housekeeping and administration. I looked after the girls every school day morning, made them a breakfast, got them ready for school and took them to school. Then I did some housekeeping and I picked the girls up again in the afternoon. Some days they had activities like art club, football or maths tutor and some days we stayed at home and played in the garden, played with lego, did loads of baking or just relaxed with the TV. During half terms I looked after them full days and we planned fun days like museum trips, flip out, go ape, bowling, cinema, minigolf, playdates, etc.
I quit this job in November 2021 as I wanted to pursue my long time dream of travelling around the world and I spent 9 months backpacking in Latin America and learning spanish and then I spent 5 months living back home in the Czech Republic working as a teacher. I still consider my last 2 families as an extended family and I am in touch with both parents and children alike :)

Gabi has helped me as an after school nanny with my three boys for the last 9 months. She has collected them from school, taken them to activities and looked after them until I am back from work. She has also helped me with full days of sole child care in the school holidays and been happy to stay on for evening babysitting.
She has been a great nanny - the boys really like her and she is reliable, trustworthy, good fun and very caring. We would highly recommend her!
Overall
I was so lucky that a friend of mine recommended Gabi. As a single mother, I always struggle running between work and my motherhood responsibilities. I work as a booking administrator and my schedule is very busy so during the week my son goes to a school and at the weekend when the school is close I always use some help. Gabi was helping me usually 3 weekend days during a month for a period of 8 months. That time my son was only 1.5yo and she always made sure he is well fed, happy, safe and entertained. Usually, she took him to local parks and playgroups, organized a play date or they stayed at home reading books or playing with cars and trucks.
Gabi is an amazing cook and apart from preparing nutritious healthy meals for my baby, she always made sure there is a dinner for me when I get home after a long day.
To summarize it Gabi gained my trust as she is responsible, thoughtful and reliable young lady. She is also very mature and honest person. She might be serious on the one hand for her young age but on the other hand, she is very warm and kind person.
I would definitely recommend her to work as a nanny for any kind and wonderful family.
