Hello, my name is Nicola, I'm 22 and living in the West Sussex. I'm a very happy, fun, bubbly and energetic person who also has a strong work ethic, a lot of experience and knowledge, all motivated by my strong passion to work with young children. I'm currently completing my PGCE at Brighton University. However I am currently looking for evening, weekend or out of term babysitting and nanny work to support me through the year. I am very flexible with hours, days and location. Primarily based in Brighton/ East Grinstead but am often in the areas of Haywards heath and Crawley; all of which I am available for babysitting in. I've had a strong passion to work with young children since a young age, as a result I have been able to gain many qualification within this field of work, including GCSE in child development, A-levels in health and social care, Pediatric first aid awards. Recently I’ve finished university in which I graduated with a 2.1 in Early Childhood Studies, meaning I have a sound understanding of the processes in which young children learn, develop, play an grow, and the best ways to support this through activities, communication and exceptional care.
My Experience
As a result my continued love for working with children, I have been fortunate enough to take up many different opportunities to do so, both here in the UK and abroad. My experience has built up over the past six years within mainstream and special needs schools, nurseries, and even an underprivileged school in Africa.

My role within both schools and nurseries has given me a grounded understanding of the academic development stages of different age groups, therefore giving me the ability to ensure all the activities, games and ideas I use with children can help build upon their learning and development they are currently following at school. I never hold back on my creativity when creating or setting up such activities, ensuring they are always fun, interactive and exciting, and can be used in a variety of weathers, settings and ages.
I have a year experiences as a nanny working with children 5 years and younger, in which I carried out daily routines, organized educational, fun, exciting and engaging activities both indoors and outdoors. As well as organizing and carrying out outdoor activities with children including swimming, kayaking, sailing and yoga! I also have experience with forest schools, all together creating an array of experience, knowledge and ability to care for young children and support every step of their development, ensuring each is full of fun and excitement.

Due to my university commitments, I am available all evenings, weekends and school holidays (inc. half terms, Christmas & Easter).I am flexible with the hours and times within these periods.
