About Me
My name is Sónia Almeida, I have 35 years old and I am from Portugal. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education and a Pos Graduation in Special Education (SEN).
I am living in UK since January 2015.
I have been working in some Special Education Needs Schools since my arrival to this country. Last school I worked was based in West Ruslip and I was the class teacher.
I am a very patient and realible person. I like to stay with children, to play with them and to teaching them. I am happy to go for a walk into the park, I like to go to the cinema, to read and to play with pets.
At the moment I’m a full time mum of a 2 years old boy.
My Experience
I started my experience with children a long time ago, with my younger brother that now is 19 years old. I took care of him since he was born, because my mother needed some help. I changed diapers, prepared milk, changed clothes and did everything that a baby needs. I took care of him until he had 8 years old.
At the same time, I had contact with several children with a range of ages between 6 and11 years old, due to my work in a school.
After Finnish my degree I worked as a Primary Teacher during two years in Portugal.
In London I worked as a teacher assistant in a special needs school in Acton Town for 1 year and half in a full time position.
I also worked as a full time SEN teacher in a school based in West Ruslip for a year. I had 5 students with ASD between the age 7 to 9 years old.
I left the school to became a full time mum. My son just turned two. He is a very happy, outgoing and social boy.
During this two years, I babysit a few times a baby younger then my son in my house, so I needed to look after both of them.
My Qualifications
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Primary Education and a Pos Graduation in Special Education (SEN).
My Availability
I can work as a babysitter or a nanny.
I am available all weekends and evenings.
During the week, I’m happy to do pick up from school and babysit, but that also means that I need to take my son with me if the work is between 7:00 am to 4:15 pm. After that time I can go by myself.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
- Nannying from £10.00 per hour (gross)
Depend if you have one or more children but normally I get paid 10 pounds an hour.
