About Me

Having grown up the eldest of four siblings and a very large extended family, I have always been responsible for taking care of younger children- my youngest sister having only just turned 3.
I am a law undergraduate in my 2nd year at the University of Manchester and live on Burton Road, West Didsbury.
I really enjoy looking after children and have a lifetime of experience taking care of siblings, family friends children and neighbours kids.
I enjoy most activities and have a real passion for children and ensuring that they develop mentally, creatively and physically. I understand children need structure and so try to create a balanced environment for them to develop in. I aim to be a role model for kids and see my role as a babysitter as far more than just watching them, but as one where I can engage them in a range of activities to help give them a broader understanding of the world around them and so encourage them to reach their full abilities. I understand that each child is different and so tailor my care to embrace their unique qualities.

I also enjoy cooking and feel that it is part of my duty to educate children about healthy eating and so am more than happy to cook required meals.

Having achieved very high grades (A*-B) throughout school and sixth form (3A's), I am happy to help with homework/ tutoring.

My Experience

I have 5 years + of experience- having started babysitting outside the family at 14 and have looked after a range of ages of children from new born babies to early teenages (13). I am very capable in dealing with multiple children at once as I regularly babysat for a family with 2 young girls and also volunteer on Sunday mornings at my local church to look after the toddlers aged 3-4 which is normally a group of 10+ children.

My Qualifications

9 GCSE'S A*-B

My Availability

Please book me in advance as I have a busy uni schedule and so will need a minimum of 24 hours notice. I may be able to work some daytime hours dependent on my schedule which changes weekly- so will need 48 hours notice for such bookings.

I usually go home during long holidays but dates can be made flexible if I am needed and I am usually available during half terms and shorter breaks.

I do not drive so please take this into consideration when booking me for school times as we shall either walk or get the bus home dependant on how far you live away from school.
