About Me
I am a newly qualified registered children’s nurse looking for temporary work as I am awaiting clearance from the DBS (formerly CRB) before I can start my career in nursing; I am told there is a massive backlog of applications though no-one is able to give me a timescale of when it will be done! I do have a job lined up for when it does eventually come back and I can give one-week leave notice.
My Experience
I have had plenty of experience looking after children during my training as a nurse and I have had numerous placements on children's wards, with community nurses and health visitors. I also have a 9month old niece who I care for regularly. I have had to care for many babies and children throughout my training that have been admitted to hospital with a variety of different needs. I love children and I am extremely confident in all aspects of caring for a child. I would love to have the opportunity in doing something I love before starting my career as a children's nurse.
