About Me
Hi, I’m Laura and I’m from Barcelona. I have experience working with children in Spain, working in school summer camps and doing babysitting to families in my town. I have also experience babysitting two families in London.
I am now studying Childcare Level 3 and working in a Bilingual Day Nursery in Ashby-de-la-zouch.
I am looking, ideally, for a weekend job. I’m working Monday to Friday, so don’t have much availability during the week.
I am also happy to do babysitting in any of the languages I speak: Catalan, Spanish, Italian and or English. I can also have short conversations in French and Romanian. And happy to learn words in other languages (nowadays trying to learn Hungarian).
My Experience
I started babysitting my neighbours when I was 14, during evenings and weekends.
When I turn 16. I decided get a certificate in Barcelona, to take care of children. I did Sports Instructor for Children Certificate, in Barcelona.
With the certificate, I was able to work in school camps, during the months of June, July and September. And the 3 weeks of Christmas break in December. I work for three years, with children of preschool age, from 3 to 5 years old.
I have also done after school teaching, since I was 14. I used to help two children with their homework and to prepare for the tests. We did any subject they needed, except philosophy. The children were in primary school, and the moved to secondary school.
I am now working in a bilingual nursery, located in Ashby. I’m in the toddler room, but have also been in baby room.
My Qualifications
I have a Sport Instructor for children tittle, from Barcelona.
Paediatric First Aid certificate, UK 2020
Currently studying Level 3 Childcare
My Availability
Ideally weekends, as I work from Monday to Friday.
