Hi,
I am Taina, a 32 years old Brazilian/Portuguese mother of an adorable 11 months old boy. I hold a degree in Education and a postgraduate degree in Montessori. I love helping children to make the maximum of their potencial and to develop their skills through activities aligned with their interest. One of my main goals is to offer them an environment which promotes autonomy, concentration and joy.
I have been working for two autistic siblings in Watlington for a few years and I am now moving to Watlington with my Spanish husband and our baby. We would love to welcome another child to join our Montessori home setting. Ideally, the child (or baby) would come to our house and participate in our routine, which is basically going for walks in nature, spending time in the garden, playing music, doing art works, reading books and doing some Montessori activities (our child doesn't have screen time at all). This would be during the times that my husband is also at home, so that he will be in charge of our son and I will be able to fully accommodate the other child's needs.
I could either talk in English with the child or, if the parents want the child to learn a second language - which I highly recommend - I could talk in Portuguese or Spanish.
My Experience
I have a total of seven years of experience working with children in different capacities:
- Tutoring for children aged six to twelve years old
- Montessori guide for children aged six to nine years old
- Nanny with a focus on home education for a baby and a toddler who both learnt to speak Portuguese (the toddler also learnt to read and write in Portuguese)
- I am currently working as a facilitator for two young autistic siblings.
My Qualifications
Degree in Education and a postgraduate degree in Montessori.
My Availability
I am available from mid June 2022 onwards. Hours and days can be slightly flexible.
