My Summary

My Experience

s part of my diploma I had to complete placement hours in childcare settings of all ages. From this I was able to work in a nursery with babies aged 6 months up to 4 years and then in a school setting with children aged 5 to 8 years. (Of which references are available).
When working with babies my role entailed feeding, cleaning, changing, interacting and playing with them. The fact they are so young meant it is important that skills are built on.
When with the toddlers and older children it is all about the interaction and that the activities and resources in place match up to the children's likes and interests because of not they are not going to want to get involved and build on existing and new skills.
When working In a school setting (aged 4-7 years) it was a lot different but the experience was one that I felt happy about after developing my skills. The fact that the age is a lot different meant that they didn't require as much support but it was important that I followed the curriculum to ensure they were on task with the activities and different subjects. The best thing about working with older children is that they have developed their imagination skills meaning that they will sit and have a conversation with you.
The best part about working with children is interaction to support them as they grow up and see them develop new skills, especially when the children have been at the setting for a long period of time I am able to grow up with them and the new skills they learn. My passion for nannying came about when my auntie had a nanny and ever since seeing her I knew I had to experience it myself. The connection I would build with both the children and the family would be one to remember and the fact that I would be there to watch the children through the years.

My Qualifications

I completed my GCSEs at school and then went to college to complete my BTEC Level 3 Diploma in childcare education, meaning I am trained and have experienced working with children and babies aged 6 months to 12 years.

My Availability

I am seeking to work full time as a nanny meaning I will be available 24/7.

My Fees

• Nannying from £12.00 per hour (gross)
• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
