My Summary

My Experience

Overall I have now been working with children for the last 14 years. I studied for my BTEC National Diploma level 3 in childcare qualifying in 2011.
Throughout my time nannying I have worked for 3 lovely families, this involved looking after multiple children in each family, the children were aged between 2 and 8. My duties included sole charge looking after the children from beginning until end of day, cooking and preparing meals, bath time, sleep routines and bed time, taking children to and from school, helping to potty and toilet training, organising activities throughout the day; painting, baking, imaginative play, role play, creative play, outdoor play, craft, trips out to the beach, park, soft play etc. and light household duties.
For the last 9 years I have worked in private nurseries, for 4 years I was a room leader of a baby room. I was in charge of a team of 4 staff and up to 12 children aged from 3 months to 2 years. I have now been working in my current nursery for over 6 years and have worked with children ranging from 6 weeks up to school age, for 4 of those years I was based with the under 2's. I currently work within the toddler room of the nursery. Working within a nursery means I have been a key person for many children making sure to create strong relationships with both the children and their parents, settling in children, completing learning journals for each child and indoor/outdoor planning and activities for all children focusing on the prime and specific areas using the EYFS. Within my job role through the years I have been involved with planning activities for the day, week and term, using tapestry (an online learning journal), writing up observations, preparing bottles and bottle feeds, sterilsing, helping with weaning and feeding times, encouraging healthy eating and exercise, sleep routines, nappy changes, potty and toilet training, working with children with various special educational needs including autism, global delay, ADHD, hearing or sight difficulties. I always make sure I spend my time talking through the children's day with the parents/carers and helping with any queries or concerns they may have, It is so important for both the child and parents to feel comfortable and happy when working alongside them. I love working with children and find it a privilege and pleasure to be involved in the early stages of their lives, helping them grow into independent and confident, happy and bright children.

My Qualifications

I have qualified in june 2011, in BTEC Children's Care, Learning and Development, Level 3 with 2 Distictions and a merit.
I have a DBS check, certificate in Food Hygiene and also a First Aid certificate.
Throughout the years I have completed various courses including child protection, safeguarding, in the moment planning, food allergy awareness, children's mental health, British values, inclusion, equality and diversity, working in partnership with parents and many more.

My Availability

I am looking for a full time nanny job or evening/weekend babysitting.

My Fees

• Babysitting from £11.00 per hour
• Nannying from £13.00 per hour (gross)
