About Me
As a mother of two I understand how important finding the correct childcare provider is. I am a fully qualified and ofsted registered childminder with previous nursery experience. I live with my husband and two children in Tamerton Foliot, plymouth and offer school run to Mary Dean C of E primary where my son attends.
I pride myself on working in partnership with parents to create a care giving experience the children and parents are happy with. I provide a fun, stimulating home from home setting. I aim to further children's education through play based learning inspired by their individual interests. I structure activities to incorporate children's individual needs, likes and routines
I believe the outdoors has many great development opportunities for children and endeavour to take trips as often as possible. These include:
*National trust sites such as Saltram House and Buckland Abbey
*Beaches
*Soft play centres
*Local play groups
*Play parks
*Aquarium
*Museum
*Libraries
And more.
I try to encourage children's social development by meeting other childminders and providing the children a larger circle of friends.
I am happy to provide a pick up and drop off service providing the times suit our routine. (There is an additional charge for this service)
My Experience
I have been a registered childminder since April 2017.
Before the decision to become a childminder worked In nurseries for 3 years. Prior to this I was a children's entertainer at holiday parks such as Haven and Pontins.
My Qualifications
I have completed the Plymouth childminder registration course which included child protection training in June 2016
I completed a nation wide childminding registration course in Aug 2016
Paediatric first aid July 2016
Cache level 3 children and young people's workforce sept 2014 (this is the qualification required by nurseries)
Communication matters for early years Feb 2014
Observation, Assessment and Planning for early years Feb 2014
Understanding child protection oct 13
My Availability
My usesal working hours are 7-6 Monday to Friday.
I offer term time only, holiday only or all year round or casual contacts.
Other sessions may be negotiable, please call or text me to inquire.
