About Me

Updated September 2021. All of my working hours are now filled, thank you for your interest.

If you are looking for a nanny to truly become a part of the family, to care for your children with total attention, creativity and love, then I am the nanny for you!

I am Ofsted Registered and a Paediatric First Aider with a full DBS certificate. I currently look after an 17 month old girl and (in the holidays and after school hours) her 5 year old sister. I cared for twins for the two and a bit years previous to this, and I have a degree in English Literature. As well as being a brilliant nanny I am also a great cook, practiced in makaton sign language and very experienced in baby led weaning.

I am happy to provide excellent references and any information or documents you may require. Please don’t hesitate to contact me!

I am experienced, organised, fun, punctual, enthusiastic, well read and very artsy. I’m an artist and dancer and I love painting, drawing, writing, walks and baking - to name but a few of my interests!

Not only do I have extensive childcare experience, I have four brothers, so I am well versed in the wonderful chaos of family life!

My Experience

I am 27 and a graduate from Lancaster University with nearly ten years experience looking after children.

September - November 2020, I worked part time caring for a lovely six month old boy, something I did alongside my art commissions and dancing.

Up until September 2020 I cared for twin girls, who turned three in December 2020, for two and a half years (from when they were 5 months old). I attended a weekly Sing and Sign class with them and used sign language in their day to day routines and meal times. I am confident in taking care of twins and have a stunning reference from their family. I painted a beautiful wildflower and bumblebee themed mural in their playroom which we made sensory with mirrors and textures. Even during lockdown I FaceTimed them every week with craft activities, keeping up to date with their learning and giving mum a little break! I continue to stay in touch with the family and meet on a regular basis.

Previous to this I cared for a baby girl for four months, starting when she was eleven months old and have continued to care for her (and her little sister when she came along two years later!) on an ad hoc basis. I helped her mother with childcare and light housework duties from when her oldest daughter was 6 months. Likewise I tried my best to help their parents keep them happy and entertained during lockdown and have helped their mother run a children’s activity group for mums with young children. Each week is themed!

2017/18 I looked after two girls (3 & 5) two days a week doing cooking, baking, light household chores and driving them to and from activities such as swimming and horse riding. I helped the five year old with her after school activities and homework. We did spelling, reading and maths and I really helped her improve her confidence with her school work. The family had three dogs, four cats and guinea pigs so I am confident with animals and happy to do what ever is needed!

I cared for two young boys for several years on a regular basis (ages 2 and 4 when I started in 2006). This involved dinnertime, playtime and helping with homework.

I am more than happy to provide references. I speak conversational French, having lived there as a child for a year. I am currently learning Spanish with one to one lessons bi weekly. I am proficient in makaton sign language and can confidently sign with your children.

I am happy to do light housework - cleaning up toys, washing up/dishwasher emptying/reloading, general tidying and laundry. Messy arts and crafts and baking are among some of my favourite activities to get your children involved with!

Along side nannying I am an artist and I am also exceptionally good at organising. I have transformed many children’s bedrooms and playrooms by organising, cleaning and even painting murals! If you need even just a few days help with your house or to redecorate rooms I can provide photos of my work and references.

Ellie looked after our son from the age of four to six months, one day a week. We were very sad to see her go, as we were extremely pleased with her as a nanny. Ellie is naturally gifted with children. She is smart, bubbly and affectionate, and our son immediately took to her. She is very expressive and enjoyed singing and talking to him, taking him on walks and playing around the house. Ellie is also very friendly and we felt very comfortable around her. We couldn’t have hoped for a better carer for our son and would recommend her without hesitation.
