About Me

My name is Alyssa and I studied Early Years Education at Bath Spa University, specialising in children aged birth to five years.

Following on from my degree I became a full time nursery practitioner for an outstanding nursery in Canford Cliffs as a senior practitioner looking after 2-5 year old children. My aim was to ensure that they were provided with the perfect enabling environments to stimulate their learning and development. Each child is unique and my five years of childcare experience has given me great background knowledge, enabling me to look after every child in the best way possible.

I also have experience working with babies from newborn and nannyed for a wonderful family with a 6 week old baby girl and 1.5year old boy whereby my duties involved caring for the baby, doing household chores, nursery drop off and pick ups, taking the children out on adventures and much more.

I currently run the pre-school at All Hallows Preparatory school in East Cranmore full time Monday to Friday. However this is term time only and therefore have a lot of spare time during school holidays, should you require care during this time.

I have babysat for a range of different families and have been told from parents that their children think I'm 'the best' and that they can't wait for me to come back and play. I'm used to a short session of playtime before story time and bedtime, or even help with dinner time and bath time (we all know this can be quite challenging when more than one child is involved).

Paediatric first aid trained, up to date DBS and hold a full (and clean) UK driving license for 9 years with my own car.

I have never let parents down with last minute cancellations and am reliable and flexible with nannying/babysitting availability.
