My Summary

My Experience

I’ve worked in a nursery for 6 Years, working with children ages 0-5. I was a Room Leader in the baby room, working closely with children aged 0-1 and for a year I was a Room Leader in the toddler room with children aged 2-3 for two years. I have experience working with children with SEN and also with children with disabilities. I can carry out observations, I am able to help children develop in all areas and can identify where help/support may be needed. I have also potty trained many children (sometimes up to 15-20 at a time!!) and helped parents with advice and guidance with certain things.

I then went on to nannying, and worked as a nanny for two years for the first family. I loved every second of it. My duties included getting the children ready for school, dropping off and picking up. Caring for the youngest full time, going on play dates, doing lots of activities and having lots of fun too!! I also prepared meals, helped with any school work and light housework on occasion too.

I then nannied for a gorgeous little boy who was super energetic and happy. I was with him for just over a year, and now I’m back at the nursery, third in charge & toddler room leader again.

Now I’m looking for work in the evenings & weekends.

My Qualifications

I am level 3 qualified in childcare.
I have a full and clean DBS check.
I have first aid training.
I am Ofsted registered.
I am trained in safeguarding.
A huge amount of experience working with children with disabilities. (Including Down syndrome & autism)
Training in working with children needing speech and language therapy (able to set targets, plan to achieve and helping meet those targets)
