About Me
I am a secondary school teacher who works part time in order to spend as much time as possible with my two fantastic girls (aged 5 and 21 months). I love working with children and I'm looking to supplement my income with some babysitting, particularly in the evenings and at weekends. My partner's job is fairly flexible so there is also the possibility of being available some days during the week.
I come from a large family and have lots of experience looking after young children. I also know how difficult it can be to leave your child in the care of someone else and I aim to be as caring, patient and fun as possible, while respecting the rules and wishes of the parents. I'm also passionate about education and happy to help with homework/ reading etc.
During school holidays I am available throughout the week.
My Experience
I have considerable experience of babysitting for family members. For the past 10 years I have also taught pupils from Year 7 upwards, and taking students on residential visits to a range of national and international locations has been a big part of my career. During my teacher training I also spent quite a bit of time working with younger pupils in primary schools, and I spent 3 1/2 months in America working at a summer camp, with groups of girls (aged 8-10) who were often nervous to be away from home for the first time, in my care.
However my greatest experience has come from raising my own two daughters for the past 5 years - this has taught me more than I ever expected!

My Availability
I am unavailable on Mondays and Thursdays, but otherwise I am mostly flexible. Evenings and weekends are ideal.
