About Me
Hello! I'm Anu! I'm from Sheffield but have been living in Barcelona for the last two years teaching English to children. Alongside this I have been living with five different Spanish host families with children ranging from age 2-13 and I currently have an additional job caring part time for a 5 month old baby.
I'm a confident and outgoing person who can always see the positive in situations. I am patient and considerate and have a caring nature about me. I love meeting new people and spending time around children because they are full of positive energy and enthusiasm like me!
From living abroad for two years I have matured and developed my knowledge and skills. I have gained
confidence conversing with a wide range of people from different cultures and backgrounds and have learnt to communicate effectively and patiently despite language differences. I have developed interpersonal skills and am able to relate to people with empathy and understanding. I can also speak a bit of Spanish too!
My Experience
Before I moved to Spain I was a special education needs teaching assistant for children with learning disabilities for three years. My passion is to work with children with learning difficulties. I have completed an apprenticeship in Health and Social Care which covered lots of units in child development and care needs. In July I am moving to Edinburgh to work part time with an English school as an activity leader and start an access course at the university.
