About Me
Hi my name is Lorna and I live in Kettering with my 2 children darcie who is nearly 3 and ivy who is 1, my partner Aaron and our frenchie Joey.
I have always had a passion for looking after children providing fun and learning at the same time.
After leaving school I began an apprenticeship at Windermere day nursery gaining an NVQ level 2&3 in childcare. I’ve also worked on labour ward so have newborn experience. I have a foundation degree in health and social care which I gained while working at Kettering general hospital.
While travelling in Australia I became an au pair looking after 2 young boys, and a nanny looking after 2 school age children.
I believe in providing fun and entertaining activities for children of all ages :)
Child lead learning I think is the key to happy children.
I have a designated room in my home for the children I will be looking after. We also have a large garden which will be part of our planned daily activities.
I am currently an assistant practitioner on the surgical ward at Kettering general hospital, but I have decided to do what I love and become a childminder :)
