About Me
Hello, my name is Katie and I am an enthusiastic, caring and fun 25 year old who currently works full time as a Year 1 primary school teacher. I am looking for a summer holiday nannying position for 5 weeks with babysitting opportunities after.
Looking after and caring for children is something I have enjoyed doing since I was a child myself! As I was childminded from 6 months to 11 years old, I have always been surrounded by younger children who I enjoyed spending time with and caring for. Over the past 6 years I have gained qualifications in both paediatric nursing and teaching with the main attraction to these careers being working with children.
My Experience
I have been a frequent babysitter from the age of 15 and have looked after children of all ages ranging from newborn to 16.
After completing my A levels I attended university to complete my Paediatric nursing degree where I took part in 60 weeks of varying medical placements such as ICU, NICU, Surgical, Neonatal etc. I gained a lot of experience caring for children and their families during particularly difficult times.
Post graduating I worked as a teaching assistant and then gained my QTS (qualified teacher status) as I decided that I wanted to help children grow and progress through learning. I have now been teaching for 2 and a half years.
During the pandemic I nannied for a key worker (B2 & G4) where my role consisted of: caring for both children in and outside of the home, preparing healthy meals and snacks for the family, managing the children’s daily routines e.g. school/nursery drop offs and pick ups, bath time, bed time, helping with children’s laundry and keeping their bedrooms and play areas tidy, taking them out and about to playdates and planning educational/stimulating activities for them. I loved this role and I am keen to find a similar post. I love making learning fun and engaging for children so I would definitely be keen to continue this in a nannying role.
My Qualifications
Basic life support combined with first aid training.

Epi Pen trained.
Epilepsy trained.
Safeguarding
1st class honours Paediatric nursing degree
QTS through a distinction in my Postgraduate teaching apprenticeship
3 A levels in sociology, psychology and English language.
10 GCSEs in English literature, English language, Maths, History, Drama, PE, Core science, Additional science, Classical civilisation and Spanish.
My Availability
From July 29th - August 23rd I will be available daily to support with childcare during the summer holidays.
