Hi my name is Amarah, I work part time In a day care nursery as a Level 6 qualified practitioner. I maintain my work levels at a high standard and always like to be presentable. I also hold a full UK driving licence. I have 7 years experience with working with children and currently studying my masters in the protection field. I have also recently just completed my masters degree in safeguarding.
My Experience
I’m working as a third in charge at my current position within a nursery. This role has enabled me to guide and manage a team and a taking responsibility to delegating responsibility to the staff . This role also included me working very closely with parents and family and meeting their individual needs. This role has also made me develop my confidence skills with dealing with challenging situations. Also within this role I worked within the management team.
Castlefeild school
The middle way, High Wycombe
Two day weekly placement for my Level 3 Childcare course working with 3-4 year old children. Whilst I was at Castlefield School, I carried out a lot more activities and also I was given a particular group of children to work with during my time there. I carried out observations to help track children's development. This placement helped me to gain confidence as it is a different setting.
Maple dean nursey
Three day weekly placement for my Level 3 Childcare course, working with 2 - 3 year old children. I am currently working with children with special needs. This placement allows me to develop my skills. I have gained a lot of confidence whilst working within this setting as I am involved with interacting with parents a lot more. Also I have gained good skills to help me work in a team also I am a lot more involved with the staff at the nursey.
Monkey puzzles
High Wycombe
Two day weekly placement for my Level 3 Childcare course working with 3-4 year old children. Whilst I was at monkey puzzles I had to carry out activities and observation on children and also I had to interact with the staff members and the children a lot more. This placement helped provide evidence for my course.
