My Summary

My Experience

Over 3 years of experience in childcare.

My first role as a nanny was for a family friend who had a 5 year old boy, I helped with nursery pick ups and small other chores as well as cooking meals.
I also have had the opportunity to work as a nursery assistant were I worked with children from 2 months up to 12 years old as part of the agency I worked for. As part of this role I would have to adapt to any age group plus had the chance of working in a different nurseries almost every day.
I know how to change nappies for both boys and girls,assisting with potty training, I posses knowledge of the variety of diet the children should have as I see it as part of my job and set the tables as well as assisting with the meals.
I have had to write risk assessments to identify any hazards/danger children could face, I've also had to write injury reports when children hurt themselves.

For the past year during the pandemic, I have dedicated to make nannying my only and full time job,
I worked with a family where my role was to I look after a two year old girl and occasionally her 7 year old sister, I planned education games to help her develop her knowledge as well as took her on fun picnics to the part. I also looked after three siblings ages 8,10 and 12 who’d I assist with completing homework, preparing lunch and making fun activities until parents arrived.

My most recent roles have been; helping a 7 -year-old with his online lessons; Mathematics, English and any other subject.I would assist him by giving him examples of questions and explaining to him what the teacher was asking in each subject.
When doing his hand-crafting activities, I would encourage him to use recycled materials.
I would later in the day ask him to spell words to expand his vocabulary.

Additionally, I worked as a nanny for a 3 year old at the time (now he is 4) and his brother whom was 5 years old. My duties were to do all the tidying up for the children; changing beddings, washing clothes, cooking, and tidying up any mess they made when playing. As well as nursery pick ups I would plan fun and interactive activities. I would encourage the 3 year old to practice his words and numbers through songs and books, and helped the 5 year old with his phonics and homework.
I would take them on trips to the farm and museum. I encouraged them to be more independent with tidying up after themselves by turning small chores into games. I had a very strong bond with the boys.




Furthermore, I would be willing to assist any extra training I should require.
