My Summary
About Me
Hey future family,
My name is Sapphire I'm originally from Hertfordshire, however I've called Australia home for the past four years until my return 3 months ago because of my close family unit and missing out on my younger sisters life. My life has been enriched by three main passions: football, scuba diving, and drama, each of which has played a unique role in my journey. I used to play football with the Arsenal Ladies' team, an experience that taught me discipline and teamwork. I also pursued my love for scuba diving aged 10 completing my open water junior license and continued my favourite hobby for a further 15 years, earning my Dive Master certification and around 500 dives, which has instilled in me a sense of responsibility and safety. Furthermore, I have a background in drama, singing and dance having attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School in London from ages 10 to 16. My interest in drama persists, and I actively participate in drama classes and help organise holiday programs for children.
In my free time, I'm a strong advocate for staying active, always on the lookout for creative and fitness-related activities to keep children engaged while minimizing screen time. I'm also a committed lifelong learner.
My decision-making and interactions are deeply rooted in values that align with the responsibilities of a nanny. Empathy and respect are essential in fostering meaningful connections with both children and their families. Integrity and responsibility are at the forefront of my caregiving, ensuring the safety and well-being of the children under my care. A commitment to continuous growth helps me adapt to the ever-changing needs of children and their development. Balancing work, family, and self-care is a skill I prioritize to maintain a fulfilling and sustainable lifestyle. Kindness, open-mindedness, and community involvement are the pillars of my approach, and they help create a positive and nurturing environment for the children I care for.
Look forward to meeting you all,
Sapphire.
My Experience
I've had the privilege of an enriching journey as a nanny, and I'm eager to share my experiences with you. My career began in 2016 in the United States, where I spent 8 months as a dedicated caregiver for twin girls. This initial experience provided me with a solid foundation in childcare and nurturing children during their crucial developmental stages.
During my time in the U.S., I also had the unique opportunity to serve as a football coach at a camp for children with disabilities. This role instilled in me the qualities of patience, empathy, and adaptability, as I worked to empower these children on the field.
Following a period of travel, I resumed my career as a nanny, this time caring for two delightful girls aged 4 and 9. Over the course of a year and a half, I fostered a familial environment where these children could learn and flourish.
My journey eventually led me to Australia, where I assumed the position of Development Director for a football club on the Gold Coast. This role allowed me to combine my passion for sports with my professional strengths in organisation and leadership.
Simultaneously, I embraced the role of caregiver for a young boy with Down syndrome, a responsibility I maintained from 2020 until mid-2022. This experience was exceptionally rewarding and underscored the significance of delivering personalised care and unwavering support to children with distinctive needs.
My multifaceted experiences as a nanny, football coach, and caregiver have not only provided me with valuable childcare skills but have also cultivated a profound sense of responsibility, compassion, and adaptability. I am enthusiastic about the opportunity to bring my diverse skill set and steadfast commitment to a new family, ensuring the highest standard of care and support for their children. Let's explore the possibilities of working together with enthusiasm and optimism!
I'd love to talk more about my care experiences and child care styles. I believe I'm a super fun, organised Nanny where children can only flourish in my care.
