About Me

I am a qualified teacher (QTS) and specialist Drama, Dance and LAMDA educator with over 15 years’ experience working with children and young people in schools, community settings, private homes, children’s homes, and youth justice environments. My work focuses on helping children build confidence, communication skills, emotional well-being and self-expression through creative and nurturing approaches.

Alongside teaching, I have extensive childcare experience including sole-charge nannying, supervised contact work, home-schooling support, and caring for children from babies to teens. I have strong experience supporting children with SEN, complex needs, emotional or behavioural challenges, and children who have experienced trauma – always adapting my approach to meet each child’s individual needs and learning style.

Throughout my career I have designed and delivered creative programmes that help children thrive – from drama and public speaking to imaginative play, age-appropriate activities and local outings that support confidence and social development. I believe children learn best when they feel safe, encouraged and free to express themselves, and I bring this philosophy into every aspect of my childcare practice. Families I’ve worked with often describe me as warm, calm and intuitive, with a reassuring presence that helps children feel safe and understood.

Working with children has always been more than a job to me. Some of my happiest childhood memories come from time spent with my own babysitter, and that early experience shaped my passion for supporting children today. It is incredibly rewarding to play a positive, stable role in a child’s development and to watch them grow, achieve and flourish in their own unique way.
