My name’s Lu, I’m a Brazilian freelance nanny!
Let me tell you a little bit about myself: I started as an Au Pair and worked for 18 months for a lovely family of 6 in North London (two boys 8 & 5, and twin girls 4). On August 2019 I took a nanny position looking after a baby (8 mo) and a 5 year-old and was with them until COVID interrupted our plans. I worked with an Italian family (a boy 10, and two girls 7 & 4) from August 2020 until December 2021, when they moved back to Italy. Since then, I've been taking care of two wonderful girls (7, 5) 5x a week after school and their baby sister (18mo) every now and then!
Before becoming an Au Pair I was an English teacher and all subjects tutor for about 9 years of my life and during this period I've experienced what it was like to always be around toddlers, children and teenagers. Being a teacher has helped me to be more patient, attentive and has taught me how to communicate with people of all ages. I learned how to be a figure of authority and, at the same time, someone who they could talk to.
I also love being a student and the opportunity of being a freelance nanny has enabled me to save money for my next step, which is my Masters Degree. Not only am I doing something I love, but I’m also be preparing financially and academically for my other passion.
Caring for children and teens has brought me the most satisfaction, and I’m very good friends with all the people that have welcomed me into their homes.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £13.00 per hour
- Nannying from £19.00 per hour (gross)
I'm self-employed, so payment is dealt directly with me. Nanny fees are from £19/h and babysitting £13/h, with a minimum of 4h.
