Hello! My name is Chloe and I'm 24 years old. I have multiple years of experience in childcare and love to help a child engage in their surroundings, learning all about the things around them. I love to see children not only learning but also having fun.
I have finished my undergraduate degree in Politics and International Relations. Before going to University I took a gap year where I did a ski season and was a chalet host. During my summers I have worked with children of all ages, in Summers 2018 and 2019 I worked at a Summer Camp in America. Then in Summer (May - October) 2020 I worked as a nanny for a family with 3 children. Since graduating I have been a nanny for 3 children (4 y/o, 2 y/o and 9 m/o) in Bristol.
I currently work for the civil service and am looking for some regular or ad hoc childcare to top up my salary!
My Experience
I've worked a lot with children of all ages through my work over the summer as a camp counsellor in America. I've spent my last 2 summers in Connecticut working with children aged 6-17. It was a residential camp where the children stay for 7 weeks. I've have been a counsellor for both the youngest children (6,7&8) and the 11-12 year olds, living in a bunk with them, effectively being their 'summer mommy'. However as a waterfront counsellor I worked with all the children on camp. In my role i also have to come up with fun activities to do with my kids when their not at their different sports.
I have also had experience with older children through my University where I work as a Student Ambassador. Through this I go out to the Secondary Schools and Sixth Form Colleges to promote my University and talk to them about different options for higher education.
I have also been a nanny. I looked after 3 children aged 11, 5 and 3. Due to COVID-19 my role has been varied, at the start I was helping the younger ones with their school work and entertaining them at home. Recently I have been taking them on day trips and helping the family with play dates and driving the children to their activities. I returned to this role during the Christmas holidays, and due to my university obligations sadly had to leave.
This past year I have been working as nanny for a family in Bristol. The children are 4 y/o, 2 y/o and 9 m/o. During the past year I have significantly developed the childrens life skills such as engagement with others, language skills and shaping them as people. While I am very sad to be leaving this job I have received a job offer in London to start in October. Therefore I am looking for something temporary.
While on my ski season and working as a chalet host I did a lot of cooking and baking with and for the children.
My Qualifications
I have a Children's First Aid Certificate. I also have a sailing instructor qualification. Moreover I had done residential cooking schools with Cookability and Workaseason, a lot with my health and safety level 2.
My Availability
I am currently looking for either weekend nannying and babysitting along with weeknights.
