I’m a British nanny, with a natural passion to aid the development of children and infants, I strive to make a positive impact in the lives of all families and children that I work with. Looking after children has always been my purpose. I would describe my approach as caring, sensitive and hands-on.

Over the last 10 years I have gained experience and knowledge as an early years educator, family development worker and nanny/babysitter.I have worked in many roles as a Children's Centre Manager, Play scheme coordinator, Room Leader and Early Years Educator. The requisite I have gained, contributes to the fresh and unique approach I have developed. Childcare has always been something I've enjoyed doing-in fact, I don't imagine myself doing anything else! Past clients have described me as upbeat, positive and proactive. I have been babysitting and nannying on a part-time basis for 10 years.

In addition to childcare, I enjoy creative arts, baking, cooking, museum visits and event planning. I have 3 years experience in children entertainment and party planning. I always prioritise the welfare of children, ensuring that any child in my care is made to feel safe, loved, and cared for. Of course, every child is different and because of this, I ensure that I build positive relationships with every child, establishing there personal needs and catering to them efficiently.

My love for childcare and education go beyond my 9-5 working week. In 2015, I volunteered in Nepal for 3 weeks at an orphanage, where I delivered creative workshops and activities for the children, and facilitated post-natal workshops for new mothers. In July 2017, I dedicated my summer to creating a playscheme for children aged 0-10 living in my local community. I was able to build trustworthy and professional relationships with families, who felt happy and comfortable leaving their children in my care for 11hours a day.

In 2019 I established a very successful baby sensory class-Jungle Jammies. Jungle Jammies gave parents the opportunity to play, sing and learn with their babies in a warm and friendly environment. I developed the framework of the session linking all activities to the early years foundation stage . The organising of the class required me to have a great level of dedication, zeal and focus.

My Experience

I'm maternal, caring, attentive and emphatic when it comes to looking after children. I have a wealth of knowledge on learning through play, and how to form positive bonds between children and adults.I have 10 years nannying experience, and 5 years experience working with families in children centres , nurseries, primary schools and residential homes. I'm confident with babies, toddlers and older children. I'm qualified to degree level and have a Level 3 qualification in paediatric first aid and mental health first aid for young people.

During my time as a Early years educator I gained a substantial amount of knowledge of the EYFS and how to stimulate children in all 7 areas of development. I offer a very high standard of childcare, and everything I do is done from the heart. My aim is to ensure that you and your family are able to find a perfect balance, feeling comfortable, happy and rest assured that your children are being well taken care of. I have extensive knowledge on sleep routines, potty training, behaviour management, pre-school education and child development/psychology.

Although I have gained a lot of practical and theoretical knowledge in childcare industry, looking after children is at the centre of who I'm. I have younger sisters who have influenced my career choice, and contributing to their growth highlighted how much I want to make an impact in the lives of the younger generation.

I'm committed to doing my absolute best for children, focusing on the child's personal, social and emotional development. I'm constantly aware that I'm a role model and the behaviour illustrate influences children in my care. I work within legislation, safeguarding myself and them. Everything I do is child-centred and my focus remain on the wellbeing of the children during working hours

I really enjoy cooking and trying new recipes, and have an established food blog =). I also do event planning for children parities and enjoy making balloon garlands and themed backdrops (Lego backdrops seems to be in at the moment lol).

I love travelling and learning about different cultures and ways of living. I have an established sensory class that runs on the weekends in Wandsworth, and tends to be the highlight of my week. I lead on teaching parents how to encourage fine and gross motor skills through physical activity, music and creative arts.

I look forward to hearing from you all

Have a fabulous day !
