About Me
My name is Lacey I come from a big family and I’m the eldest of all my siblings Which means I have always had to look after a lot of children which is why I felt that childcare would be the best career for me as it’s been something I’ve had life experience in. My favourite things to do are baking, playing football and mostly all activities as I’m very adventurous. I am very passionate about my work with children and aim to always provide a safe and caring environment, in which they can thrive. I am committed to helping them learn more about the world around them and to acquire new skills constantly which will equip them for life as they grow. I am trust worthy and always reliable and would love to add to any family needing the extra help I’m looking to also find a reliable family to work with who are in my local area as I don’t drive yet but am doing lessons weekly.
My Experience
I studied childcare in the city of Islington where I worked alongside children in nurseries while studying and gaining my qualifications. I then moved to kent and joint the social services additional services team where I do 1-1 mentoring with children where we go and do activities from theme parks, cinemas and soft plays to learning activities to help the children gain life skills. I have had all enhanced DBS checks completed and went on to pass a Children’s safeguarding course & A first aid course with the certificates to show. I currently work with a family with two young boys who I have created a lovely bond with. They both have disabilities which has helped me gain a lot of knowledge and understanding dealing with children who suffer with disabilities so I do different routines which fit around each child to ensure to give them a happy safe experience while being looked after by me
