Hi :) I am a professional, trustworthy, caring, friendly and experienced babysitter and registered childminder with a Bachelors Degree in Education,DBS check & first aid certified. I have created a safe,learning-rich environment for children to have fun,feel comfortable,and well cared for while learning new skills and developing their understanding of the world.
My Experience
I have been an Ofsted registered childminder for 4 years, taught as a teacher for 5 years in Mainstream school and 1 year in SEND (class teacher in SLD and MLD class). I have been a school run driver, aupair, and nanny in South Africa, looked after my 7 younger siblings (ages ranging from newborn to teenager), and I have 3 of my own children.
I have a love for children and passion for helping them develop and learn whilst exploring and having fun, especially outdoors.
I set up play areas, Arts and crafts tables, and encourage and value learning through play. I also do movement and action songs, and the children get to explore musical instruments. There is something different every time depending on your child's age, developmental levels, and interests.
I offer home-based care in a safe, comfortable, and learning-rich environment in Stoughton during the week
Weekday evenings and weekends I am available for babysitting at the child's home

My son has been going to Monique for a few months now, and he absolutely loves it! Even though he only goes once a week, he gets excited the moment we tell him he’s going to see her. Monique is caring, attentive, and treats him like family. She always keeps me updated on what he eats, plays, or learns, which I really appreciate. Her children are also so kind and often read to my son, which he enjoys a lot. We feel very lucky to have found her!

Monique is the best! She has contributed a lot to my child’s development. From saying a few words, to now saying full sentences. My child’s vocabulary has grown immensely even after just a few month. He has really been enjoying his time with Monique and all the other kids.

Monique has been looking after our daughter for 2 days a week, she absolutely loves Monique, as do we. She is so sweet, kind and caring. Our daughter has progressed so much since being with her, with counting, puzzles, colours and her speech. I couldn’t recommend Monique more xx

Our current childminder was going on leave for 5 weeks so we needed to find a temporary childminder for our 3 year old. As soon as we met Monique we knew she was going to be wonderful with our daughter. She immediately bonded with her and played with her. She had so many fun toys and activities for our daughter to do.
During the time our daughter has been with Monique she has absolutely thrived. Her confidence has improved, her communication skills have flourished, her logic and art skills have gotten so much better, her concentration, and she's just so happy at the end of every day there. Monique does lots of practical and hands on activities with the children so whilst they're learning they're also having so much fun. Our daughter brings home numerous arts and crafts projects that they've worked on and shes so proud, its lovely to see. They play games, do puzzles, dress up, paint, go to the park and splash pool, go for walks - and so much more!
One key thing I love about Monique is the affection she shows for the children in her care. Shes so loving and she has treated our daughter like one of her own which is priceless for us. Our daughter absolutely loves her to bits.
Monique has always been really open and honest with us about our daughters progression and has highlighted to us any challenges that have arisen. We also receive a progress report at the end of each day which is such a nice touch. We also receive photos throughout the day which is so lovely as its nice to see what they are up to.
I really couldn't recommend Monique enough, she is an absolute Godsend.

We had a fantastic experience with Monique!
She made us feel incredibly comfortable leaving our 5-month-old for the first time with someone outside of the family while we attended a wedding. Monique is professional, knowledgable, kind and empathetic. She kept us up to date during the evening as to how our daughter was which was very reassuring. We had such a great experience with Monique that we plan to use her as much as we can in future and would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a reliable, trustworthy and knowledgable babysitter.

Our nursery had to shut for two weeks due to staffing issues so I contacted Monique to see if she could look after my two year old in an ad hoc basis for these weeks. Monique was quick to respond and when I first met her was instantly reassured and happy to leave my son with her. For the second week she also looked after my eldest child (5 years old) who had a fab time. She keeps you updated throughout the day with lovely photos showing the kids having lots of fun. I would highly recommend Monique.

My little boy started out at a nursery but struggled to settle, it just wasn’t suited to his personality. Finding Monique has been a game changer! My son is very happy, content and gets very excited to go - this never ever happened in the 4 months he was at nursery! Monique is very loving, attentive and caring, she goes the extra mile to ensure she has toys my son is interested in. I think she now has a mountain of bus toys!
Monique’s own 2 children are very polite, engaging and playful. My son talks about them almost daily and loves playing with them.

We are so glad that we found Monique and that she had a space for us! She has created a happy space for the children to explore and grow. My little boy has a lovely time with her, especially playing in the mud-kitchen! Monique has a large variety of games, toys, crafts and activities that she puts on offer and also makes sure she spends quality time getting to know your child too! I can tell by the stories she shares that she knows my little boy's habits and interest and that is just wonderful for a mom to see! Monique keeps you updated with monthly newsletters and weekly observations so you always feel like you know what's going on and what is happening in her setting. Thank you for creating such a positive experience for my family and for caring so much!

Monique is everything you wish for a baby sitter. She is a lovely caring person, with a great personality, both my daughter and son loved her straight away.
I was a bit anxious about leaving my kids for the first time in 2 years with a total stranger but she was fantastic, kids were happy, so much that my daughter wanted her to stay overnight. She was communicating with us through messages so we knew how the kids were doing, if they ate their dinner and went to bed fine, which was of course the case. She is also very professional and trustworthy.
Since we found her we booked her twice already, she is definitely our first call when in need.
