Hi :) I am a professional, trustworthy, caring, friendly and experienced babysitter and registered childminder with a Bachelors Degree in Education and EYFS, specilising in Speech and Language, DBS check, first aid certified, safeguarding training and more. I have created a nurturing, safe, learning-rich environment for children to have fun,feel comfortable, be well cared for while exploring and learning new skills and developing their understanding of the world.
My Experience
I have been an Ofsted registered childminder for 4 years, taught as a teacher for 5 years in Mainstream school and 1 year in SEND (class teacher in SLD and MLD class). I have been a school run driver, aupair, and nanny in South Africa, looked after my 7 younger siblings (ages ranging from newborn to teenager), and I have 3 of my own children.
I have a love for children and passion for helping them develop and learn whilst exploring and having fun, especially outdoors.
I set up play areas, Arts and crafts tables, and encourage and value learning through play. I also do movement and action songs, and the children get to explore musical instruments.
I enjoy taking the children out and about, whether to the woods, a playground, a playgroup, a playdate with other childminders or on outings. Children love it too, and they get to learn through exploring and experiencing real-life experiences whilst not being confined to one space.
There is something different every time depending on your child's age, developmental levels, and interests.
I offer home-based care in a safe, nurturing, fun and learning-rich environment in Stoughton during the week (and weekends depending on availability)
I am also available for babysitting at the child's home

Monique has been looking after our two children on an ad-hoc basis for nearly a year and they both really love going to be cared for by her. She has a great setting, with lots to do to keep them entertained, and does structured activities with them throughout the day. Communication is great and we get regular updates and photos of how they are getting on. Meals are also good and they are fed well. Monique is flexible and great at accomodating us when we need someone to look after the children. Would highly recommend!

Monique is the most wonderful gift to our family! Our 22month old son has settled in with her so well. He loves going and has come on in leaps and bounds since his time there. He’s teaching my older sons how to be tidy, put things where they belong and do bin trips with any rubbish haha - I feel so peaceful knowing my son is in such capable, loving care and would recommend Monique to any family who is looking.
Monique goes above and beyond with her planning and the day trips they go on are amazing!!! We get a full breakdown of the day with details of meals, trips, learning activities nap times and more. Our son is truly thriving. Thank you Monique you are such a blessing!

Monique is such a great childminder, since my little girl has been there I have seen huge progress and development. She has learnt lots of new words and phrases, she is sleeping so much more consistently and independently. She follows routine really well and has never once been unsettled or not excited to go. I am so happy with her and would recommend her to any parent who is looking for an exceptional childminder who really cares about your child and makes them feel like family.

Monique has cared for my son both as a childminder and sitter and I cannot praise her enough. She is well organised, caring and kind. She is knowledgeable beyond measure and ensures that my son is constantly stimulated whether that be through play or outside excursions to the park or local library. Monique has also carefully managed my son’s diary allergy. She always keeps us updated with photos and messages, which we always appreciate. We are so thankful to have met Monique.

Monique has been a childminder and babysitter for our two children, aged 6 and 21 months, for over a year. Monique's childcare setting is a safe and stimulating environment with outdoor and indoor play and many creative activities. For babysitting, Monique is always punctual and gets stuck in straight away, helping with dinner, bath and bedtime. She handles tricky situations, such as anxiety separation, with calm, patience and expertise, and very quickly picks up our children's interests and plays to these.
We can't recommend her highly enough.

I contacted Monique for an ad hoc childcare. Monique responded straightaway, extremely professional and welcoming. My son spent two days with Monique and he absolutely loved it . She organised so many activities during the day and provided nice dinner. Highly recommended!Thank you Monique!

My son has been going to Monique for a few months now, and he absolutely loves it! Even though he only goes once a week, he gets excited the moment we tell him he’s going to see her. Monique is caring, attentive, and treats him like family. She always keeps me updated on what he eats, plays, or learns, which I really appreciate. Her children are also so kind and often read to my son, which he enjoys a lot. We feel very lucky to have found her!

Monique is the best! She has contributed a lot to my child’s development. From saying a few words, to now saying full sentences. My child’s vocabulary has grown immensely even after just a few month. He has really been enjoying his time with Monique and all the other kids.

Monique has been looking after our daughter for 2 days a week, she absolutely loves Monique, as do we. She is so sweet, kind and caring. Our daughter has progressed so much since being with her, with counting, puzzles, colours and her speech. I couldn’t recommend Monique more xx
