About Me
After a city career and much travel, I now live in quiet Tewkesbury with my husband and daughter. In 2019/20 I studied Early Years at postgraduate level at the University of Gloucestershire while working at a local playgroup. I hold enhanced DBS clearance as well as paediatric first aid training.
I am a qualified Early Years Teacher.
But most importantly I love being with babies and toddlers! I especially love art and craft activities, inventing stories as well as reading books and poems, imaginative play, exploring and marking seasons and special events together, baking, being outdoors, and listening to and making music.
My Experience
At school I had a work experience placement in a preschool, and after taking a course in nannying I spent 6 months as an au pair in Paris before studying modern languages, with time abroad for study and work as an English teacher.
I then spent many years working in international banking in the City and as a legal translator in Milan.
I am a doting aunt to two boys who are now teenagers, mother of a seven-year-old, and, after tutoring school age speakers of English as a second language, I volunteered teaching Italian at a local primary school before embarking on a Postgraduate course at the University of Gloucestershire to become a qualified Early Years Teacher while working at a playgroup and on placement in a day nursery with babies under 24 months.
I am particularly interested in language and communication development and the crucial effects of early childhood experience on psychological development....as well as squishing play-doh and blowing raspberries!

BA Hons Modern Languages, Leeds University;
EYTS (Early Years Teacher Status), University of Gloucestershire.
Mensa verified IQ of 153.

NB providing childcare in my own home to one child at any time for totally dedicated, individual care.

My Fees
- Nannying from £12.89 per hour (gross)
Fees are inclusive of tax, NI, DBS enhanced certification, up-to-date paediatric first aid training, continuous professional development, and insurance.

My rate is commensurate with my experience and qualification: postgraduate study (level 6) is the highest level of childcare training available.
