I’m a fully qualified teacher based in Frome, offering flexible childcare support during school holidays and potentially at weekends. I’m looking to provide reliable, caring childcare as a supplementary income alongside my teaching work.
I’m also a parent myself and have two young children, so I completely understand the importance of creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment. Depending on what works best for your family, I’m happy to bring my children with me, or it may be possible for me to look after your child either at your home or at mine.
As a qualified teacher, I’m DBS checked and fully safeguarding trained, with extensive experience supporting children’s learning, wellbeing, and development. While I don’t currently hold an official first aid certificate, I bring a calm, responsible, and attentive approach to childcare, with a strong focus on safety and communication.
I hold a full, clean driving licence, allowing for flexibility with outings or school holiday activities if required. I aim to provide a relaxed but structured setting where children feel happy, secure, and well cared for.
Alongside childcare, I also offer private music tuition. As a qualified teacher and experienced professional musician, I provide engaging, age-appropriate music lessons that can be included as part of childcare during school holidays or booked separately.
Lessons can be tailored to the child’s age, interests, and experience level, with a focus on building confidence, creativity, and enjoyment of music. This can be a lovely option for families looking to enrich their child’s holiday time with something creative and educational.

My Experience
have extensive experience working with children in a variety of settings, both in childcare and education.
While studying at music college in London, I worked as a nanny, supporting families with day-to-day childcare, routines, and activities. This gave me valuable hands-on experience caring for children in a home environment and understanding the individual needs of families.
Following this, I spent several years teaching privately in children’s homes, working closely with young people on a one-to-one basis. I then went on to teach for music services, gaining experience working with larger groups of children across different ages and abilities in school settings.
I later completed my PGCE and now work as a primary school music teacher, where I support children’s learning, wellbeing, and development every day. This role has strengthened my skills in behaviour management, safeguarding, inclusive practice, and creating engaging, age-appropriate activities.
My background combines professional childcare, one-to-one support, and classroom teaching, allowing me to offer calm, structured, and nurturing care tailored to each child.

I’m not looking for a long-term or permanent role, but rather to support families on a short-term, flexible basis — for example, occasional days, specific dates, or one-off bookings during the holidays.
This setup can work well for families needing extra help during busy periods, cover for childcare gaps, or support during school breaks.
Availability can vary depending on dates and arrangements, so I’m always happy to discuss individual needs and see what might work best.
