About Me
I am an empathetic and imaginative tutor. I have a BSc and MSc in Psychology and am currently completing the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. My background in psychology enables me to work with individuals sensitively and collaboratively. I believe in emphasising a person's capabilities and strengths, and fostering confidence in their abilities. I also recognise that everyone works in different ways, and again draw on my psychology background to individualise my teaching style to the individual. I feel passionately that when it comes to education and learning, there is always a way to overcome and learn from challenges, struggles and obstacles.
My Experience
I worked as a teaching assistant at St Paul's Cathedral School, working one on one with children who learning difficulties and autism. I have also worked as a private tutor from Key Stage 1 through to A-Levels. I have also had experience with children who have behavioural challenges and struggle to remain in school. This range of experience working with different children of difference ages, background and interests has been incredibly rewarding.
I am also a qualified yoga teacher and have extensive experience of childcare!
My Qualifications
I have a BSc and MSc in Psychology and am currently completing the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology to become a qualified clinical psychologist. I also have 10 GCSE's (10 A*S) and 3 A Levels in English, Biology and History (3 A*S).
My Availability
Week day evenings from 5.30pm (preferably online). Weekends any time (preferably online but can do face to face).
