About Me
I am a caring, enthusiastic and highly experienced childcare professional with over nine years of experience working with children from babies through to primary age. I hold two degrees in Early Childhood Studies and Qualified Teacher Status with a PGCE in Primary Education, which means I bring both practical childcare skills and a strong educational background to everything I do. Throughout my career I have worked in nurseries, schools, babysitting roles and private family settings, supporting children’s development in a wide variety of environments. I am passionate about creating fun, nurturing and stimulating experiences that help children feel happy, confident and secure.
I have additional qualifications in dance, drama and singing and love using these creative skills to encourage imagination, self-expression and confidence in children. I also have a strong interest in outdoor learning and believe children learn best when they are active, exploring and engaging with the world around them. I enjoy planning educational activities, arts and crafts, day trips and nature-based experiences that support both learning and wellbeing.
As a nanny, I am organised, reliable and flexible. I am happy to support with routines, school runs, homework, meal preparation and general child-related household tasks. I have my own car and am comfortable helping with clubs, appointments and family travel. Most importantly, I aim to build positive, trusting relationships with both children and parents so that families feel fully supported and confident in the care I provide
My Experience
I have over nine years of varied and hands-on experience working with children from birth through to primary school age. During this time, I have worked across a wide range of settings including private nannying, babysitting, baby and toddler classes, nurseries, and primary schools. This breadth of experience has given me a strong understanding of children’s development at every stage and the ability to adapt my approach to meet individual needs.
My qualifications include two degrees in Early Childhood Studies as well as Qualified Teacher Status and a PGCE in Primary Education. These have provided me with a solid foundation in child development, safeguarding, behaviour management and educational planning. I am confident supporting children academically, socially and emotionally, and I enjoy helping them build confidence and independence.
Alongside my formal experience, I hold certificates in dance, drama and singing, which I love to incorporate into creative activities with children. I have planned and delivered engaging learning experiences, supported homework and school readiness, and created fun, structured routines that encourage curiosity and enthusiasm for learning.
I also have a strong interest in outdoor and nature-based learning and have researched the benefits this has on children’s wellbeing and development. Whether through educational play, creative arts, or everyday routines, I aim to provide nurturing, stimulating and supportive care that allows children to thrive
