About Me
I am a 46 year-old mum of 2 grown up daughters.
I have a range of experience with working with children and young adults from 0-20 years older. I am empathetic , patience and understanding and remaining professional at all times, but also have fun. I work well on my own and in a team. I am honest and caring, and like to help others. I am reliable and punctual.
I am also thinking, due to wanting to change jobs to register myself as a nanny but at present just seeing what is out there and what direction I wish to go in life.
My Experience
I’m qualified nursery nurse.
I have a range of work experience with children from birth to 19 years, mainly with special needs.
I am at present a registered manager for a children home.
I was a registered manager of a home for adults with learning disabilities for 18 months
I have worked as a team manager in residential children’s home for children with autism, I have been there for 16 years working up from support worker to team manager.
I have been a one to one teacher’s assistance with a reception aged child with autism. In this role I was the sole carer in his school day.
I also worked with Equibrium for 6 weeks which was as an educational mentor with life skills, which included, cooking, budgeting and support, with a group of 15 year olds that were struggling in the education setting.
I was a nanny for 10 years with two children from birth to 11 years, I worked mainly on my own with them, although I did at times work alongside their parents, and I supported them in their everyday upbringing.
My Qualifications
NVQ level 3 in health and social care- children and young people
ABC level 1 in basic book keeping
NNEB diploma in nursery nurse
GNVQ level 2 health and social care.
My Availability
At present working full time but looking for a new job.I will Flexible with hours and days ideally full time but would consider anything depending on wage because as much as I love to work at what I live to do I still need to pay the bills.
