Hiya! My name is Abby, I am 22 years old and I am just finishing up my final year at the University of the West of England, studying Politics and International Relations. As a member of a very large extended family, I have always loved playing with and looking after children. I am energetic, creative & reliable and would love the opportunity to work in childcare this summer.
My Experience
Since the age of fourteen I have babysat for a multitude of families across my hometown, Malmesbury, which as I got older included: picking the children up from school and more daytime babysitting. During my ski season, I worked for Scott Dunn as a chalet host, I regularly supported the nannies in various childcare duties and spent a lot of time getting the children ready and entertaining them so that the parents could relax. As part of my training at Scott Dunn, I received comprehensive training by child care experts on a variety of aspects, I also achieved my level four and five food & safety certificates, and whilst working at The Potting Shed I received my level two first aid training certificate.
My Qualifications
I have three A- Levels and thirteen GCSEs ranging in A*-C. I have a level two first aid qualification and food & safety certificates. I am more than prepared to organise and fund for myself to be DBS checked should it be needed.
My Availability
Additionally to my availability below, I am more than happy to help on the occasional weekend. Ideally starting from the beginning of July, but can be flexible.
