My Experience

I am qualified in
NCFE CACHE Level 2 in Children and Young People workforce.
NCFE CACHE Level 3 Diploma in Supporting Teaching a Learning.
While doing my Level 2 course at college I worked in a nursery for the whole year, Where I worked with children from the age of 5 months- 5 years.
In my Level 3 course I worked in a Primary school, I was based in year 4, once I had finished my course I continued to stay at the school but as a volunteer and had moved up into year 5, altogether i was at the school for around a year and a half.
I then went on to work as a play worker for a Crèche bank, where I worked in multiple nurseries and play centres working with children from 2 weeks- 7years. I worked with children with SEND and EAL whist working there, I would change nappies, feed and burp the babies, ensure the older children had snacks and drinks, made sure activities were out, kept a record of the children’s toilet routines and would make the parents ‘Learning Journals’ so that they could see their children’s development and what they were doing while in our care. I would speak to parents after each session to let them know how the children got on and ask them if they had any questions they wanted to ask me. Whilst working there I also done a courses in which were provided to me by the crèche bank for further knowledge:
Paediatric first aid infant and children.
EYFS Observation, Planning, Heuristic play, Schemas and Treasure Baskets.
Safeguarding and Practice.
