My Experience

I began my career with three years as a full time nanny. I subsequently had various roles, from working part-time as a teaching assistant with Asperger's syndrome in Marnhull, and as a lunchtime supervisor in Child Okeford, to jobs in commercial settings and as a self-employed cleaner and housekeeper, through to numerous positions with families as a nanny in recent years. My most recent experience has seen me stay with families for several years, looking after children before and after school as they grew up in Stalbridge, Henstridge and Marnhull. I also helped with reading at a primary school for three years, for years 4-5. I am a mother who raised a son, now grown up, who went to university and now works in the media.
Victoria Bright wrote the following review of my time working for her family:
"Pauline worked for our family from 2012 to 2018, primarily when our children were at primary school, St Mary’s in Marnhull. She would collect the children from school, take them to their various activities and bring them home for tea. Depending on the time that one of us was back from work, she would also oversee the bath-time / bed-time routine.
"She would also look after the children for full days during the school holidays and occasionally take them out for day trips.
"Pauline was always punctual and ensured that the children got to their after-school clubs on time. She was always reliable, giving us plenty of notice if she was going to be away. She was kind and caring to the children and they are incredibly fond of her. But she was also firm when she needed to be and the children knew to stay within her boundaries!
"She cooked tea from scratch and was flexible in putting together a meal from whatever was in the fridge. She would play games with the children, oversee homework, spellings and music practice. My youngest would often ask for the same bedtime stories but Pauline never seemed to mind – she had endless patience with all 3 of them.
"Pauline is a thoroughly trustworthy child carer and I would have no hesitation in recommending her to anyone looking for a kind, caring and reliable person to look after their children."

My Availability

Before and after school pick up and drop off, as well as day time care and meals.

• Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
• Nannying from £10.00 per hour (gross)
