About Me
I have 10 years' experience of caring for and teaching children aged 8 months to 10 years, with an extensive knowledge of both the Early Years and Key Stage 1 curriculums. I am a fun, outdoorsy childminder, who loves to be active with the children in my care, alongside planning and implementing creative activities, based on the children's interests. I am patient, kind and caring, aiming to raise children in a loving and secure environment. My childminding style is nurturing, with a good balance of fun, educational activities and restful downtime.
My Experience
I have worked with young children for 10 years now, with my various roles ranging from teaching primary school, private nannying, training other nannies in play and nutrition for a well known childcare company and working in preschools. I helped to open a Forest School in the Surrey area and for two years I managed the planning and running of the weekly sessions.
My Qualifications
First Class BA (hons) degree in Early Childhood Studies (with one year teacher training)
Level 3 diploma in home based childcare
Paediatric First Aid (valid until September 2025)
Level 3 Forest School Leader
Level 5 Nutrition and Sports Nutrition
Drive a Child safety Certificate
Enhanced DBS check
