About Me
I'm an English literature graduate from the Universities of Cambridge and Oxford with extensive childcare experience. I'm fun, inventive, and bring lots of energy and creativity to my role. I love learning alongside children, especially reading books together, visiting museums or libraries, and playing imaginary games (often based on what we've been reading).
I am studying for a PhD in Cambridge, which is roughly equivalent to a full-time job, so although I can be flexible with timings, I won't always be able to meet parents' requests. I am available for occasional evening babysitting and daytime childcare, but can't commit for . My timetable changes termly, so I can't always promise I'll continue to be available - but I will do my best. I have a recent DBS check as I help with kids work in my church, but can complete another DBS if you are willing to contribute to the cost.
My Experience
I spent a year (2017-18) working as an au pair for three children (two boys aged 6 and 8, one girl aged 10) in Paris. (I am more-or-less bilingual in French and English.) My employer from this period is happy to provide a reference! I have also been babysitting and volunteering with kids since the age of 14, as well as looking after my 3 younger sisters. I have experience leading Sunday schools and cared for a group of 15 7-year-olds in daycare at a summer conference in 2018. I also have experience as a tutor for the English element of the 11+ exam, and tutoring for English GCSE.
My Qualifications
I have extensive experience in childcare (although no formal qualifications). I also have a master's in English literature from the University of Oxford, a first class BA degree in English from the University of Cambridge and A Levels in English, history and French.
My Availability
Available for low-hours part-time help. I don't drive or cycle so am geographically limited to central/North Oxford/Jericho, unless parents are willing to contribute to the cost of using public transport.

My Fees
- Babysitting from £10.00 per hour
£15.00 per hour for babysitting, £20 per hour for active daytime childcare, £25 per hour for tutoring.
