About Me
Hi! I’m Emily and I currently work in a local nursery with children ages 2-4. I absolutely love being around children and helping them explore and achieve through their play. I am a fun, positive and passionate individual and I love to meet new people along the way!
Within my current job my main roles and responsibilities include:
•Completing regular observations on my key children who I work closely with to help them to achieve their next steps in child development, also tracking their development through their individual Tapestry journals
•Setting up and supporting various activities for the children on a daily basis.
•Carrying out meal and snack times - supporting children when they are eating and drinking and ensuring they have a healthy balanced diet.
•Leading group singing, story times and small intervention groups to support children’s personal, social and emotional development.
•Overall caring for each individual child and their wellbeing.
My Experience
I have worked in my current job for over four years on a full time basis. I have also previously babysat for family and friends in the past. I have previously volunteered at a children’s after school club working with children ages 6-10.
My Qualifications
I have achieved a Level 2 and 3 NVQ in Early Years
Trained in Bucket Therapy
I have achieved 4 GCSE’s (A-C grade)
My Availability
I am available everyday throughout the school holidays, however during term time I work Monday-Friday 8.15-16.15.
I am available every evening and weekends.
