I am an experienced nanny looking for a job in North East London. I can also offer home schooling and tutoring since I have experience working in schools as a teacher and as a TA. I also have experience working with kids with SEN and neurodivergent kids. I speak English and French. I am non-binary (and my chosen name doesn't match the name on my DBS certificate, which is confusing but it is me I can provide ID proof.)
I would like to work as a nanny because I find looking after children very rewarding. I really enjoy their energy and imagination, and watching them learn and grow.
When I look after children, I would encourage them to do constructive activities or play games. I want them to spend their time creating, learning, exercising and importantly having fun. I have many games and activities to share with them depending on their age and interest. I would also take them on adventures outside to parks and museums, where we can learn and explore together.
I appreciate relationships of mutual trust and respect between kids and adults, since I believe that children should be taken seriously and that we both have much to learn from each other. I am excited to get to know the kids I will be looking after and I'm sure we will have a fun time!
My Experience
I have worked as a Nanny for a year in London for 2 children aged 7 and one child aged 12. I worked as an au pair in Paris for a year, taking care of 3 children aged 5, 8 and 10. My responsibilities included taking them to and collecting them from school, cooking for them, accompanying them to activities and doing homework with them.
For the past year I have been working as a Teaching Assistant in secondary schools. I was working with students with SEN and my responsibilities were supporting them to access the school work and to function in the school environment. I learnt a lot in this time about providing support for neurodivergent students who might be struggling to cope with an environment or a task, and providing emotional support for students who were having a hard time.
I worked as an ESL teacher in schools in the Czech Republic for 6 months. I taught at both primary and secondary schools, teaching all year groups from early years upwards. I taught primary school children using games and fun activities which involved learning, so that they would learn in an engaging, high-energy way.
I volunteered as a camp leader for the Éclaireuses et Éclaireurs de France, a scout camp that lasts several weeks. I organised and lead group activities for up to 30 children, as well as helping them build camps, light fires and cook food. I also had to be responsible for their welfare since they were away from their families for a long period. I was responsible for them during camp excursions such as skiing and hiking.
