About Me
Hello! My name is Izzy and I am currently doing a PGCE in primary education in Bath. I am originally from Scotland but have been living here for 4 years. I have worked with children for 10 years, in all sorts of different settings and I love being a part of a child's development, supporting them and watching them grow! My Experience
I have experience of working with children from 9 months to 18 years old. I am currently completing my PGCE degree which has required me to have completed two 6 month placements in a year 5 and 2 class teaching 80%. I have also taught in a reception and year 4 class with my undergraduate degree.
From 2015-2019 I was a regular babysitter for 4 children from the age of 1-8(so i can handle a handful!). Alongside working with this family I also currently ad hoc babysit for a family in bath.
I regularly volunteer at my churches crèche, and lead on children’s summer camps with 13-18 year olds.
I have recently completed a course in outdoor education and have a real passion for getting children out in the outdoors and using their surrounding resources to further their education!
I specialise in music with my degree and am very keen for sharing my love of music with children!
My Qualifications
I am currently working towards PGCE in primary education. I have a BA (Hons) in early educational childhood studies at Bath Spa University. I also have an Enhanced DBS check, and 12 hour first aid training. I have also recently completed an award in outdoor education.
My Availability
I am available over the weekends and some evenings. I am also free over the school holidays. My time table does vary so please do get in touch!
