I've recently made the move from nanny to teaching assistant and I'm looking to pick up some babysitting in the local area. Term time I'm looking at Friday and Saturday nights, but I'm a bit more flexible in the holidays. I would consider a week night in term time, if it wasn't too late. I have written references, if required. I have Paediatric first aid and a DBS. I've recently had a new paper DBS sent through, if you would like to check it.
My Experience
As mentioned, I've recently left nannying. I've worked with babies up to teens and I've worked with quite a few twins. With the families I've worked with as a nanny, babysitting has always been an exciting time. Pajamas on, snuggled under blankets, a new movie (new to them) and sometimes a naughty treat to munch on. The occasional game night has been enjoyed as well. I understand some children get very upset when patents go out, so I've always tried to make it seem like it's a treat for them.
