Currently seeking short-term nannying and babysitting in the Brighton area.
I live in my beautifully converted van, so am able to travel for work. I'm not able to list my profile in multiple places, but frequently I am around Brighton, Sussex, Bristol and West Wales! My registered address is in the Sussex countryside near Uckfield.
I am a warm, charismatic and creative person; I find fulfillment in helping people thrive.
As an Early Years professional, artist and musician I am versatile and insightful, perceptive and dedicated. I pick up on the needs of others, both through intuition and open communication, and use creativity and drive to meet those needs in uplifting ways. I bring a playful spirit, sincerity and integrity to my work.
My musical and artistic qualities flow into my work. My approach when joining children and babies in play is to listen and respond to them and their ideas fully with my attention and body, which I believe fosters a child's imagination in an atmosphere of co-discovery and validation. I also value the role of stepping back and witnessing a child engaged in play. I always strive to promote clarity, connectedness, consent and kindness. I love to adventure outdoors in all weathers!

I have six years' nannying experience with children in their early years, including:
- Twins 10 months - 17 months
- 1:1 with several children aged 18 months - 36 months
- Live-in care with a child aged 2 - 3 years
During my Masters placement I worked for eight months in a nursery, and several weeks in a baby room setting. I ran a sensory play session for babies and their adults throughout 2018.
I am inspired to reconfigure adult practices to create more just and equitable relationships and environments for children, in arts and educational contexts. I hope to develop a consultancy practice for anyone developing projects that engage with babies/ toddlers and their adults.
I am involved with Early Years Theatre projects and research activity relating to play with babies and toddlers. In spring 2021 I worked with Magic Acorns, devising and performing a sensory art installation for very young children and their adults in Great Yarmouth.
Throughout the lockdowns of 2019 I worked respectfully and closely with one family as a live-in Personal Assistant. It was a privilege to work so intimately with this diversely-abled family: the mother has Cerebral Palsy, the father is recently diagnosed with Autism, they have a young daughter with Autism (aged 2 - 3 at the time) and an older daughter in the care of a foster family. I lived with them for nine months, caring holistically in their daily lives, advocating to secure them better funding for their support needs, and innovating ways to chuck the 'dis' out of 'disability'; it was a transformative time for us all!
As a non-binary person myself (she/they) I am LGBTQIA+ positive and respectful of anybody's pronouns, which of course includes that of your little ones.
