Hello, my name is Josephine but everyone calls me Josie. I'm 23 and currently work in a private home caring for a 19 year old male with complex special needs. I have always wanted to work with children and be a nanny, to help me achieve this I went to University to study Childhood Studies. I am very caring and have loved being able to work with children in a nursery for 5 years and get my experience and see how children overcome challenges they may face and how they can come up with amazing ways to solve a problem. I love being outdoors and soaking up the fresh air and experiencing everything there is to offer.
My Experience
I have 5 years experience working with children age 6 weeks to 5 years within a nursery setting. My first 3 years were as a student volunteer but as soon as my degree had finished I was employed at the same nursery in less than a week.
My Qualifications
I have a BA Hons in childhood studies and was volunteering within a nursery while completing my degree to give me a practical degree that I could use straight away. I was then employed for 2 years at the same nursery I was volunteering at. I have paediatric first aid and a DBS check with my current position. I have also completed a training session on Child and Vulnerable Adult Protection as well as Introduction to Safeguarding Children.
