About Me
I am a qualified Primary Teacher offering private tutoring for Primary school children who need additional help to meet their year group expectations or to boost their confidence in school. I have worked with a number of children who have been affected by the Covid pandemic and seen really positive outcomes from 1:1 tutoring supporting their confidence and enjoyment of their school work .
My Experience
I am a qualified Primary Teacher with 8 years experience teaching across all ages from Reception to Y6. I have completed a lot of work with both Y3 children who need support with the step up from KS1 to KS2 and with y5 and 6 booster groups to support with preparation for SATs. This year I have gained experience as a private tutor within KS2 working with individuals and small groups most affected by the Covid Pandemic. We have focused on English and Maths skills to boost confidence and support towards achieving year group expectations.
My Qualifications
PGCE in Primary education with a specialism in modern foreign languages.
First class degree in English language and communication.
A grade A levels in English, Biology, Art and History
My Availability
I am currently available for after school tutoring in Downend and surrounding areas on Monday, Thursday or Friday and could do Saturday mornings if required.
