About Me
I am currently working as a Nanny looking after 2 girls 5 and 6 but sadly this role is coming to an end due to a change in the family circumstances. I am a Nanny with 19 years experience working with children. I would describe myself as a nurturing Nanny with high emotional intelligence and with these skills i provide the children with love, warmth and the feeling of a safe and nurturing environment.
My Experience
As a professional working with young people with and without special educational needs I have 16 years of experience of dealing with challenging situations. Having trained through the Emotional Literacy program with Surrey educational psychologists I have valuable counselling skills, with proven results plus 16 years' experience working with children with a wide range of additional needs within a school.
I have been a Nanny for the past 4 years and thoroughly enjoy it, whilst doing this role i have supported the children with a consistent daily routine and helping with all aspects of their day
whilst they have been at school plus support, planning and implementing school holiday activities. I am a Nanny who is a constant support with behavioural and emotional needs but with a nurturing nature promoting acceptable and positive behaviours. During these roles i have been the housekeeper keeping everything tidy and cooking for the family as well as washing the children's clothes.
My Qualifications
I do not have specific childcare qualifications but have worked with children for 19 years. I am also a mother and grandmother so have the relevant experience.
I have GCSEs plus lots of training whilst working at the school.
I am also a trained ELSA (emotional literacy assistant).
I have also completed my paediatric first aid training.
